Office Manager

Employment type:  Full Time

Shift/Hours:  Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

LIFE-Northwestern Pennsylvania, a community based program providing services to seniors allowing them to remain in the community (versus skilled nursing facility), is seeking an Office Manager for the Corporate office location in Erie, PA.  LIFE (Living Independent for the Elderly), known nationally as PACE (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly) provides support services to its elite group of seniors, enabling them to live in their own homes.

Candidates must be willing to work within a team environment, ability to multitask, and understand the importance of confidentiality.  Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for email and calendar preferred.

Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):

  • Answer phones and take messages as necessary
  • Manage and maintain executive’s schedules, including CEO, CFO, Executive Director, Director of Human Resources
  • Provide clerical support to the management team within the Corporate office
  • Manage office supplies and reorder items as needed
  • Attend meetings and record minutes
  • Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or electronically
  • Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities
  • Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, and other documents

Employment Requirements:

  • One year of experience providing care to the frail elderly
  • Possession of valid Driver’s License
  • Successful completion of Pennsylvania Criminal History Check, Office of Inspector General check, and FBI fingerprint based background check if residing outside of Pennsylvania within the last 3 years
  • Successful completion of post-offer employment drug screening and physical

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education preferred
