Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Team Leader, assists and maintains supplies needed for ongoing participant care and continued operations. When deemed necessary by the Director of Expansion/Construction and/or Director of Facilities, serves as a backup to the Maintenance Department to help with Center tasks and other coordinated projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of receiving items into the facility (packing slips, purchase orders, etc.).
- Maintain perpetual inventory of all items purchased and sent throughout the portfolio.
- Prepare purchase orders for facility purchases.
- Communicate with other ordering departments about substitutions, back orders, product replacement, pricing proposals, etc.
- Place orders for inventory every week to keep stock at acceptable levels for operations.
- Establishes company email on a mobile device.
- Serves the role of Supply Chain Team Leader when the Leader is out of the office for any reason.
- Work daily with the salesmen, buyers, and other personnel.
- Unloads incoming shipments from many vendors; inspects items to ensure the accuracy of shipment or report damage.
- Rotates stock items according to departmental policies.
- Repackage and return broken items for repairs as needed.
- Serves as a backup Maintenance Assistant when deemed necessary by the Director of Construction and/or Director of Facilities
- Follows all established safety procedures and precautions when performing maintenance service.
- Reports equipment malfunction or breakdowns to the Director of Construction or Director of Facilities as soon as possible.
- Reports all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc. to the Director of Construction or Director of Facilities immediately.
- Understand the company’s Infection Control policies and procedures.
- Deliver furniture and/or supplies to existing Centers or storage locations, weighing 75-100 pounds.
- Use company vehicles from time to time to complete tasks.
- Collect and dispose of refuse in designated areas weighing 20-30 pounds.
- Prioritize work assignments to complete tasks promptly.
- Utilize the company’s electronic supply order system to replenish needed supplies.
- Ability to always interact with program participants professionally and courteously.
- Participate in and support Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to deal tactfully and patiently with personnel, participants, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.

- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- One year of experience working in a maintenance or supply chain capacity is preferred.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; lift heavy objects (up to 100 lbs.); sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk, see, hear, and smell.
- Requires full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination; requires the ability to use department equipment to communicate effectively; The employee is occasionally required to reach and stretch with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must have the ability to work under moderate pressure to meet scheduled appointments or deadlines while dealing with frail, disabled, and/or confused participants/clients.
